Eastern Kentucky University senior Trey Bowling fired a final round 7-under par on Sept. 30 to capture individual medalist honors by four strokes at the Cardinal Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Louisville in Simpsonville, Ky. Bowling's performance helped the Colonels finish tied for second as a team.

Bowling’s 65 in the final round was his second such round. The senior from Manchester, Ky., finished 16 shots under par and beat Robert Streb of Kansas State by four shots. Bowling finished with a three round total of 200.
