In just her freshman season, Leitich has already been named OVC Female Cross Country Runner of the Week twice. She recieved the honor most recently after finishing 13th out of 291 runners at the Greater Louisville Classic this weekend. The Nairobi, Kenya native completed the 5K course in a time of 17:45.16, 41 seconds faster than her previous personal best. Leitich’s performance paced the women to a seventh place finish out of 35 teams.
