CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The final round of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate was cancelled today because of rain, leaving Eastern Kentucky’s Kelli Warner as the individual winner. Warner shot a 2-over 73 to take the lead after yesterday’s first round. As a team, the Colonels finish in 11th place with a 332, 20 shots behind the leaders.
The event was being hosted by Austin Peay State University at the par-71, 5,852-yard Clarksville Country Club and included 14 universities.
Eastern Illinois and Indiana State finished the first round tied for first with totals of 312, but each team’s fifth player score was used to break the tie, giving Indiana State the title. Western Kentucky and Belmont finished tied for third, three shots back.
Gabrielle Anderson tied for 34th after shooting an 82 (+11). Jena Spenske tied for 62nd, Leslie Booth tied for 73rd and Melissa Rosloniec tied for 78th.
The Colonels will conclude their fall schedule on Nov. 5 and 6 at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Fall Beach Blast in Gulf Shores, Ala.
