GULF SHORES, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky’s women’s golf team improved its score by six shots and finished 10th at the Alabama-Birmingham Fall Beach Blast in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Colonels fired a final round 318 to jump from 11th.
The two-round event featured 14 teams and was played at The Peninsula, a par-72, 5,909-yard course.
East Carolina (+13) finished first, followed by Texas San Antonio (+34). Louisiana-Monroe dropped from second to third at +36. EKU finished four shots behind ninth place Indiana State.
Gabrielle Andersson led Eastern by finishing tied for 26th. Leslie Booth tied for 31st. Melissa Rosloniec improved her score by six shots from round one and posted a final round 78 to place tied for 38th.
The Colonels have concluded the fall portion of their 2007-08 schedule and will return to action in the spring.
