Final Results

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky's women’s golf team finished seventh at the Troy University Trojan Invitational at Arrowhead Country Club, the Colonels’ final event of the fall.

Freshman Linda Hogberg fired a final round 77 and finished 12th overall with a two-round total of 155. Back-to-back rounds of 78 led sophomore Gabrielle Andersson to a 13th place finish.

EKU’s total of 636 was one shot better than Louisiana-Monroe and two shots behind Tennessee Tech. Jacksonville State (607) was the wire-to-wire leader and finished seven shots in front of South Alabama (614).

Freshmen Kara Fant (160) tied for 28th and Taylor Church (165) tied for 45th. Fellow freshman Lindsey Rankin (176) tied for 61st.

The Colonels have finished the fall portion of their 2008-09 schedule. The team will return to action in February at the Morehead State Spring Kickoff, which will be played in Oxnard, Calif.
