CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. – Eastern Kentucky’s women’s golf team will serve as the host institution for the El Diablo Intercollegiate in Citrus Springs, Fla. The 10-team event will be contested at the El Diablo Golf and Country Club. The teams will play two rounds on Thursday and will conclude with one 18-hole round on Friday.
The participating teams include EKU, Austin Peay, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Indiana State, IUPUI, Old Dominion, Radford, Alabama-Birmingham and Southern Indiana.
Florida Atlantic (94) and Eastern Kentucky (147) are the highest ranked participants in the Golfstat Division I rankings. Southern Indiana is ranked 17th in the Division II rankings.
The Colonels opened their spring schedule with a second place finish at the NewWave Communications Racer Classic on March 3 and 4. The second round was washed out, but three Colonels finished among the top-10.
Senior Kelli Warner had a hole-in-one on the 18th. She placed fifth on the leader board. Melissa Rosloniec (82) and Charlotte Lundell (82) tied for seventh. Lundell was making her Colonel debut after joining the team in January.
