WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Eastern Kentucky’s women’s golf team sits in eighth place after the first round of the 36-hole, 20-team First Market Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. The Colonels opened with a first round 320, 32 shots over par. EKU is within five shots of fifth place and one shot ahead of two teams tied for ninth. Marshall University leads with a first round total of 305, 17 over-par.
The event is being contested at the Ford’s Colony Country Club, a par-72, 6,063-yard course. The event will conclude with one 18-hole round on Sunday.
Melissa Rosloniec leads the Colonels and is tied for 15th on the individual leader board with a first round 78. Kelli Warner is one shot behind and tied for 21st. Jena Spenske’s 80 is tied for 29th.
