WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Eastern Kentucky’s women’s golf team held onto eighth place after the final round of the 20-team First Market Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. The Colonels shot 329 in the second and final round today and finished three shots in front of Georgetown University. Marshall University edged James Madison in a two-hole playoff to capture the team title.
The event was contested at the Ford’s Colony Country Club, a par-72, 6,063-yard course.
Kelli Warner moved from a tie for 21st to tied for 11th after shooting a second round 80. Melissa Rosloniec tied for 31st and Leslie Booth moved from 64th to a tie for 36th.
Next up for the Colonels is the Saluki Invitational on March 30 and 31. The 36-hole event will be hosted by Southern Illinois University at the Hickory Ridge Golf Center in Carbondale, Ill.
