RICHMOND, Ky. – The annual Lexington Legends’ preseason caravan will make a stop at Eastern Kentucky University on Wednesday, Feb. 3 to promote the upcoming baseball season for the Legends and the Colonels. The event will be held at the Powell Student Center from 12:30 – 1:45.

Various Legends staff members as well as the Legends’ mascot Big L will join EKU head coach Jason Stein and numerous Colonel players at the event.

The caravan is open to the public and will feature a question and autograph-signing session afterwards. Fans of either or both teams are invited to stop by and talk baseball, take photos with Big L and meet the players and coaches. The Legends will have souvenirs and ticket vouchers to give away at the event.

The Legends are preparing for their tenth season as a Houston Astros’ affiliate in the Class A South Atlantic League. Their home opener is scheduled for Friday, April 16 at Applebee’s Park.

The Colonels open the 2010 season on Friday, Feb. 26 when they travel to Cullowhee, N.C. for a three game series with Western Carolina.
