RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team will take on Austin Peay for the second time in two weeks Thursday night. Game time in Clarksville is set for 8 p.m. ET.
Eastern Kentucky (10-7, 4-1 OVC) has the opportunity to move to 5-1 in Ohio Valley Conference action for the first time since 1990-91. However, the Colonels have lost their last seven games against Austin Peay in Clarksville and 17 of their last 18 overall on Austin Peay’s home court.
The Governors (3-13, 0-3) have lost four consecutive games after defeating Tennessee and Rochester in mid-December. Forward Josh Terry is averaging 18.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per contest against OVC foes.
The Colonels earned a 67-65 win over Austin Peay on Dec. 29. In that game, EKU scored 22 points off 17 Austin Peay turnovers. The Colonels rallied late and scored 12 of the final 14 points in the game to escape with the victory. Senior
Jaron Jones paced Eastern with 19 points while junior #D’Mitri Riggs# hauled in a season-high nine rebounds.
Following the Austin Peay game, Eastern Kentucky travels to rival Morehead State on Saturday night.

Joshua Jones became the 31st EKU player to reach 1,000 career points on Jan. 7 when he scored a season-high 20 points in the win over Southeast Missouri. Jones notched a 20-point game at Austin Peay as a freshman (Jan. 5, 2009) thanks to netting a personal-best five three-pointers.
