Women's Basketball Adds Tae'Lour Richardson For 2016-17

Richardson has helped her team to two straight state titles.
RICHMOND, Ky. – High school senior Tae'Lour Richardson has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team starting the 2016-17 season, head coach Chrissy Roberts announced today.

"We are very excited about the addition of Tae'Lour Richardson to our women's basketball family," Roberts said. "Tae'Lour is an extremely talented forward that will fit perfectly into our style of play.  Her versatility and motor will be huge assets as we look to compete not only in league play but outside of league play as well."

Richardson, a native of Nesbit, Mississippi, helped Horn Lake High School to back-to-back 6A State Championships. The Eagles posted a 29-4 record during the 2014-15 season on their way to the state crown. Richardson scored 11 points in the title game, as Horn Lake defeated Olive Branch in the state finals for the second straight season.

"She knows how to win and she doesn't mind putting in the work," Roberts said. "Not only is she a talent on the floor, but she is an exceptional young lady. She has a bright future and I cannot wait to coach her."

The 6-0 forward was selected to the 2014 Mississippi All-Star Game following her junior season.
