EKU’s Freihofer, Vaz, Bradley Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's Liz Freihofer, Joseana Vaz and Ella Bradley were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday.
 
The Academic All-District® Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
Freihofer excelled both athletically and academically, posting a 4.00 cumulative grade point average while pursuing a degree in biomedical sciences. She was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, earned Academic All-ASUN honors, and was selected First Team All-ASUN.
 
On the court, Freihofer started all 34 games for EKU this past season. She averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 40.6 percent from the field. Freihofer also shot 38 percent (73-of-190) from 3-point range and 88 percent (72-of-82) from the free throw line.
 
During the season, Freihofer was a two-time ASUN Player of the Week and scored in double figures in 26 of EKU's 34 games. The Union, Kentucky native scored a season-high 27 points against Midway on Nov. 22 and followed that performance with 26 points in a road win at North Alabama on Jan. 8, shooting 10-of-15 from the field with five made 3-pointers.
 
Vaz also excelled on the court and in the classroom, earning a 4.00 GPA while completing her Master of Business Administration. One of the ASUN Conference's top players, she was named the ASUN Newcomer of the Year and a First Team All-ASUN selection at season end.
 
Vaz started 31 games this season and averaged a team-best 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. The Praia, Cape Verde native shot 41 percent (165-of-403) from the field, 32 percent (46-of-145) from 3-point range, and 69 percent (77-of-111) from the free throw line.
 
During the season, Vaz earned one ASUN Player of the Week honor and was a three-time ASUN Newcomer of the Week. She scored in double figures in 24 games, including six 20-point performances, and posted a career-high 33 points against Austin Peay on Feb. 7.
 
Bradley also posted a perfect 4.00 GPA while earning a Master of Business Administration and playing a key suppor role for the Colonels. The Cambridge, New Zealand native averaged 5.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while making 24 starts.
 
She scored in double figures three times and posted a season-high 11 points twice during the non-conference schedule against North Dakota on Nov. 11 and Morehead State on Nov. 26.
