RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team tallied its fourth straight win thanks to a 4-3 decision over Lindsey Wilson Saturday afternoon in the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
The Colonels (4-3) easily captured the doubles points behind victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
In singles, freshman
Ramon van Flymen (No. 3) and sophomore
Diogo Soares (No. 5) took their matches in straight sets. Senior
Daridge Saidi held off Lindsey Wilson's Denis Porcic in a third set tiebreaker.
Lindsey Wilson (2-2) entered the match ranked No. 5 in the latest NAIA national rankings. Three of the Blue Raiders hold individual NAIA national rankings – Edberg Espinoza (No. 5), Porcic (No. 26) and Francisco Charters (No. 30).
Eastern Kentucky returns to the courts next Saturday, Feb. 21 to host Radford at 10 a.m.
