LEXINGTON, Ky. – The EKU men's tennis team opens the spring season Friday in nearby Lexington to take on the University of Kentucky.
 
Friday's match is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at the Hilary J. Boone Indoor Center.
 
Senior Alex Álvaro and sophomore Ramon van Flymen return for the Colonels, after receiving All-OVC honors last spring. The duo combined for 24 wins in singles in 2015.
 
Kentucky enters Friday's match with two players ranked in the International Tennis Association top-125. Sophomore William Bushamuka is currently ranked 79^th, while junior Nils Ellefsen is ranked 117^th .
