MURRAY, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team fell at defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Murray State, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at Cutchin Field.
The host Racers (5-4-2, 4-0-1 OVC) got on the board in the 27
th minute when Harriet Withers scored off a free kick.
Murray State pull away with two second-half goals. Cori Cain scored off an assist from Withers in the 61
st minute, and Ali Critcher headed in a goal for the exclamation point in the 78
th minute.
MSU outshot EKU, 13-5, on the day. Junior
Jordan Foster led the way for the Colonels, firing two shots, both of which were on frame.

Larissa Heslop also put shots on goal versus the Racers.

Haley Kemper played all 90 minutes in the center of EKU's backline. Junior goalkeeper

Eastern will stay on the road next weekend with matches at UT Martin (October 14) and Southeast Missouri (October 16).
