RICHMOND, Ky. – The EKU women's tennis team moved to 3-1 on the season at home with an overpowering 7-0 win over Lincoln Memorial University on Friday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
Corentine Bodin and Marina Marti gave the Colonels the advantage after solidifying the first doubles match of the day, winning 6-4 at the No. 2 spot. Shortly thereafter, Laura Argente and Raquel Montalvo picked up their second straight win at No. 1 doubles with a 6-2 win, confirming the doubles' point for the Colonels.
 
Meanwhile, the freshman tandem of Viktorija Demcenkova and Margaux Lacroix improved to 3-2 in doubles action after handing Priscilla Bulandres and Angelica Solano a 6-3 loss.
 
Demcenkova's 6-2, 6-2 win in singles play gave the freshman a 4-1 mark thus far on the season, while Bodin and Marti locked up the No. 3 and No. 4 matches to secure the victory for the Colonels.
 
However, both Montalvo and Lacroix added wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots respectively. Lacroix's 6-1, 6-1 win over LMU's Angelica Solano polished Lacroix's record to 4-1 in her first season in Richmond.
 
The Colonels (3-2) return to action on Saturday against Western Kentucky University. Saturday's match is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
