RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis announced its first four events of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday afternoon.

The Colonels will open the year Sept. 19-21 at the Lipscomb Invite, just outside of Downtown Nashville.
EKU will return home next month to host the D1 Showdown on campus from Oct. 3-4. Fans are encouraged to follow EKU women's tennis on social media for court updates and potential schedule changes.
In mid to late October, the Colonels will compete in two tournaments, beginning with the ITA Regional in Knoxville, Tennessee, hosted by the University of Tennessee on Oct. 16-21.
They will close the fall slate at the Fall Masters Qualifier in Jacksonville, Florida, hosted by the University of North Florida on Oct. 24-26.
EKU women's tennis ended the 2024 season with a 9-19 overall record and had two Atlantic Sun Conference wins over Bellarmine and Queens.
The Colonels returned eight members off last year's squad including all six starting singles courts in

Ceylin Ipek,
Marilou Cote,
Izem Elif Olcer, and
Zhansaya Bakytzhan.
