FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – The EKU men's tennis team fell in its final non-conference match in a 4-1 loss to Troy University on Tuesday.
EKU (10-9) opens Ohio Valley Conference play on Friday in the first of two OVC home matches next weekend.
"I was very disappointed in the results today," Head Coach
Rob Oertel said. "We're going to have to play a lot better in our upcoming OVC schedule, if we are going to have any chance to defend our title."

Ramon van Flymen improved their record at No. 1 doubles to 6-2, defeating Troy's duo handily, 6-1. Álvaro and van Flymen entered Tuesday's match ranked 53rd in the nation.
Senior
Florian Graskamp notched his 11th win of the year in a 6-2, 6-3 win over Tomas Fernandez of Troy.
The Colonels host Austin Peay State University on Friday and Murray State University on Saturday. Both matches are scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start.
EKU is 7-0 this season at home.
