RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over visiting Kennesaw State on Saturday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center. 
The Colonels (5-5) won the doubles point handily, as sophomores 
Laura Argente Escamilla and 
Raquel Montalvo Perez (6-1), freshman 
Corentine Bodin and junior 
Marina Marti Hernanz (6-4) and freshmen 
Viktorija Demcenkova and 
Margaux Lacroix (6-2) all combined for wins. 
Eastern carried that initial success into singles, as Bodin won 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot, Demcenkova won 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot and Argente prevailed 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 to spot to give the Colonels a 4-0 lead and clinch the match. 
Marti fell to KSU's (1-9) Isabela Castro, 7-5, 1-6 (10-6), at the No. 4 spot, but Lacroix (8-3) and Montalvo (8-4) wrapped up the match with pro-set wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions. 
EKU returns to action on Sunday when the Colonels host Louisville at 2:00 p.m.
