RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team returns home to host USC Upstate on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at McBrayer Arena.

WHAT TO KNOW
Senior
Nick Mayo hit a buzzer beating three-pointer to beat High Point, 70-69, on Saturday in North Carolina. It was EKU's first buzzer beater since Denzel Richardson hit a last second shot to beat Coppin State in December of 2014.
Mayo posted 30 points and 10 rebounds in the win over High Point. He now ranks sixth in the country in scoring at 25.4 points-per-game.
Mayo enters Wednesday's game 47 points shy of breaking the EKU all-time scoring record of 1,832 points.
EKU (4-4) won the turnover battle, 17-9, vs. High Point. The Colonels rank second in the OVC in turnover margin (+3.5). They are 4-0 when winning the turnover battle, and 0-4 when losing it.

Jordan Oakley and sophomore
JacQuess Hobbs provided a defensive spark off the bench for the Colonels on Saturday. Oakley played a season-high 23 minutes and posted career-bests in blocks (3) and rebounds (9) - six of which were offensive. Hobbs played a season-high 32 minutes and had three steals and a career-best two blocks.
EKU overcame a 23-point first half deficit to beat High Point on Saturday. It is the Colonels' largest comeback win in at least the last seven years.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
This is the first all-time meeting between EKU and USC Upstate.
The Spartans (2-6) had lost five straight before defeating Western Michigan, 71-66, on the road on Saturday.
Deion Holmes leads USC Upstate in scoring at 15.4 points-per-game.
