CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team (7-8, 2-0 OVC) defeated Southeast Missouri, 6-1, to win their second conference match of the weekend.

Viktorija Demcenkova notched a win at No. 2 doubles, 6-4, to even the matches 1-1.

Raquel Montalvo and Laura Argente battled to a 7-5 victory at No. 3 doubles to take the point.

Lisa Friess,
Margaux Lacroix and Demcenkova each collected wins at their respective singles match to move the score to 5-0, clinching the match.

"I would be very surprised if SEMO doesn't go to the OVC Tournament," Head Coach
Rob Oertel stated. "Top scores were tight and our top girls competed well. It was one of Viktorija's better matches in her career. We are really showing a ton of improvement. Our girls are really enjoying competing."

SEMO (3-7, 0-1 OVC) collected a 7-5, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles for its lone point.

Lagoda won at No. 2 singles to finish the match.

EKU returns home next weekend for matches against Eastern Illinois on Friday at 10 a.m. and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at 11 a.m. Saturday.
