RICHMOND, Ky. – Ramon van Flymen was named the adidas Ohio Valley Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Flymen went undefeated for the Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team last week.

The Oosthuizen, Netherlands native made quick work of Eastern Illinois' Freddie O'Brien at No. 1 singles on Friday, 6-2, 6-4, to open league play.

He then paired with Gabriel Ruiz at No. 1 doubles, knocking off the Panthers, 6-1.

The wins assisted the squad to a 6-1 victory.

On Sunday, Flymen defeated Xavier at No. 1 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.

He and Ruiz were leading at No. 1 doubles, 5-4, when doubles were called.

The Colonels will be back in action this weekend as they hit the road, beginning a four-game conference swing. EKU will take on Jacksonville State on Friday at 11 a.m.
