BIMINI, Bahamas – Eastern Kentucky is one of eight teams that will compete in the women's basketball 2018 Junkanoo Jam at Resorts World Bimini in the Bahamas on Nov. 22-24.

The tournament field includes Clemson, EKU, Florida State, Iowa, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama-Birmingham and West Virginia. The field will be split into two divisions of four teams, the Junkanoo and Bimini Divisions, and each division will crown a champion.Â

Eastern will join Florida State, West Virginia and Iowa in the Bimini Division. The Colonels will open against Florida State on Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. WVU and Iowa will play at 5:15 p.m. The winners of those two games will meet for the championship at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 24. The losers of those first round games will meet in the third-place game at 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 24.

In the Junkanoo Division, Clemson will play Tennessee at 3 p.m. on Nov. 22 and UAB takes on Oklahoma at 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 22.

The tournament is annually hosted over Thanksgiving. Florida State, Iowa, Oklahoma and Tennessee all return to the Bahamas as past Junkanoo Jam champions.Â

Teams and fans will stay at the Hilton at Resorts World Bimini, the official partner of the Junkanoo Jam.
