RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky scored the first 13 points of the game on its way to a 102-65 victory over visiting Alice Lloyd College on Wednesday at McBrayer Arena.

All 12 Colonels who played in the game scored at least two points.

The game marked the first time EKU reached the 100-point mark since a 100-93 overtime victory against Morehead State on Jan. 30, 2016. It is the first time Eastern has scored 100 points in a non-overtime game since beating Cincinnati Christian, 112-34, on Dec. 3, 2015.

The Colonels (4-2) scored seven points in the first 57 seconds of the game and went in front 13-0 after a pair of free throws by
Qay Stanton. The Eagles (3-4) missed their first five shots of the game and turned the ball over three times during Eastern's fast start.

A 17-4 run late in the first quarter and early into the second quarter allowed EKU to build a 24-point advantage. After Alice Lloyd closed within 11, 22-11, with 2:14 remaining in the opening frame,
Anysa Jordan answered with a turnaround jumper and
Maleaha Bell made a 3-pointer to get the Colonels' run started. Eastern scored the first six points of the second quarter to take a 35-13 lead and then went in front by 24, 39-15, on lay-ups from Bell and Jordan to cap the run.

Alice Lloyd whittled the lead down to 13 before Eastern Kentucky scored the final nine points of the first half to take a 22-point edge, 53-31, into the locker room at intermission. Eastern shot 63 percent from the field in the first quarter and 55 percent for the first half.

The Eagles got as close as 16 in the third quarter before the home team closed out the period with a 17-6 run to take a 27-point lead, 77-50. A lay-up by
Jada Higgins early in the fourth pushed the lead 30-plus for the first time, 81-50. Higgins hit a put-back jumper as she was falling to the floor, and then made a free throw, to put the Colonels ahead by 40, 98-58, with 3:01 left in the game.

Jordan led the team with a game-best 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. Bass, Bell and
Samari Mowbray finished with 11 points each. Bell added a team-high eight rebounds.

Emma Hacker (9) and Higgins (9) scored their first collegiate points. Stanton, Jordan and Bell all set new career-highs.

Jasmine Ealy had 13 points for Alice Lloyd while Bailee Brainard contributed 10 points and eight rebounds.Â

Eastern Kentucky shot 53 percent from the field for the game while holding ALC to 35 percent shooting. EKU out-rebounded the Eagles by 11 and out-scored the visitors off turnovers 38-18.

The Colonels will be back in McBrayer Arena on Sunday to host Chattanooga. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
