Final Results

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's golf team finished third in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State.
 
Erik Lindwall and Martin Eliasson shot a team-best one under par (215) and finished tied for third.
 
After round one, the Colonels were in third place one shot ahead of conference foe Jacksonville State. Eastern fired its best round in round two with a team score of (291) to go into the last day only one stroke out of second place.
 
EKU shot a final round of (292), to finish with a three day total of (879) and a third place finish.
 
Eastern finished ahead of Jacksonville State (880), SIU Edwardsville (886), UT Martin (890) and Missouri State (896).   
 
Arkansas State won with a three day total of seven under (857). ULM finished second with a team score of (873).
 
The three-day tournament was played at the par-72 RidgePointe Country Club.  
 
Andreas Nielsen (223) tied for 22nd. Edvin Lindgren (229) finished tied for 38th and Tyler Lippert (232) finished tied for 50th. Willis Gaer played as an individual with a three round total of (227) tied for 33rd.
 
Eastern returns to the course Saturday when they host Eastern Michigan at the University Club.
