RICHMOND, Ky. – Thirty-one Eastern Kentucky baseball players are playing in summer baseball leagues throughout the nation and two Colonels are playing in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League.
 
Junior to be Daniel Harris IV is playing in the infield for the Brewster Whitecaps in the Cape.  Rising senior A.J. Lewis is catching for the Cape Cod League's Orleans Firebirds.
 
Seven Colonels are spending the summer in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.  Outfielder Nick Howie, and pitchers Darren Williams and Nick Laster are teammates with the Sanford Mainers.  Infielder Lyndon Weaver, pitcher Nick Borek and newcomer Caleb Upshaw are playing with the Danbury Westerners.  Pitcher Jacob Abbott is suiting up with the North Adams SteepleCats.
 
Pitcher Brennan Kelly and newcomer Parker Orr are playing in the Coastal Plain League for the High Point-Thomasville HiToms and Asheboro Copperheads, respectively.
 
Four Colonels are taking the field this summer in the Valley Baseball League.  Pitcher John Farley and outfielder Michael Brewer are playing for the Purcellville Cannons while pitchers Will Bryan and Jacob Ferris are toeing the rubber for the Harrisonburg Turks.
 
Newcomer Dylan Ross is pitching this summer for the Leesburg Lightning in the Florida Collegiate Summer League.
 
Three Colonels are taking the field in the Cal Ripken League.  Infielder Charlie Ludwick is playing for the Herndon Braves.  Newcomer Jay Hester and pitcher Jake Lewis are playing for the D.C. Grays.
 
The MLB Bombers in the California League feature four EKU baseball players – pitcher Julian Jackson, infielder Christian Lucio and newcomers Kendall Ewell and Massai Dorsey.
 
Four Colonels are playing in the Ohio Valley League.  Pitcher Brennan LaBarbera and outfielder Marcus Hill are teammates with the Dubois County Bombers.  Newcomer Garrett Simpson and catcher Brent Lovell are playing with the Henderson Flash.
 
Infielder Logan Thomason and pitcher Ronnie Engelman are playing with the Hamilton Joes in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.
 
Newcomers Jordan Fox and Ryan Nelson are both members of the Rockville Express in the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League.
