EKU Returns Home To Host James Madison Tuesday For "90s Night"

RICHMOND, Ky. –
Two unbeaten teams will meet on Tuesday when Eastern Kentucky hosts James Madison at McBrayer Arena.
 
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
Tuesday's game will be "90s Night" at McBrayer Arena.  The game atmosphere will include 90s themed music and in-game content, 90s posters will be given away and the first 1,000 students will receive a FREE t-shirt.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-  The series between the two teams is tied at 1-1 with each team winning on the other's home court.
 
-  The Colonels and Dukes first met on Nov. 28, 2006.  EKU won 70-66 in Harrisonburg.  Exactly one year later, on Nov. 28, 2007, JMU won 82-71 in Richmond. 
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky is off to a 3-0 start after going on the road and knocking off Milwaukee, 77-71, on Saturday.
 
-  The Colonels hit 14 three-pointers in the season-opener against Georgetown College, 14 more in game two against Ohio Valley and 13 triples in the win at Milwaukee.  Through Nov. 13, EKU is second in the ASUN, and 12th in the nation, in 3-pointers per game (13.67).
 
-  Eastern Kentucky is 18-3 in its last 21 home games.
 
-  EKU is third in the ASUN, and 28th in the country, in steals (11.33 per game).  Four Colonels rank among the top 12 in the conference individually in steals -- Jomaru Brown (T4th - 3.0), Michael Moreno (7th - 2.3), Curt Lewis (8th - 2.0) and Cooper Robb (12th - 1.7).
 
-  Jannson Williams recorded his first double-double as a Colonel at Milwaukee, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
 
-  Cooper Robb had 11 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists at Milwaukee.
 
-  Through games on Nov. 13, Russhard Cruickshank leads the ASUN Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (9.0).  Tariq Balogun leads the ASUN in blocks (3.3 per game).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  James Madison is 2-0 this season after a 135-40 victory over Carlow and a 58-53 win against Old Dominion.   
 
-  Jalen Hodge, a 6-foot-1 redshirt junior guard, hit nine 3-pointers in the first two games and leads the team in scoring at 18.5 points per contest.  Justin Amadi, a 6-foot-7 redshirt freshman forward, is the team's leading rebounder with 8.5 per game.
 
-  As a team, JMU has made 52 percent of its shots from the field.  The Dukes have held their first two opponents to 8.3 percent shooting from 3-point range (3-for-36).
 
-  James Madison is averaging 15 steals per game and its two opponents have averaged 25 turnovers.
 
-  JMU shot 34 percent from the field and 23 percent from 3-point range against Old Dominion.  ODU made just 1-of-15 attempts from 3-point range and had 21 turnovers, nine of which came on steals by the Dukes.
 
-  Hodge hit on four 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 16 points against Old Dominion.
