EKU Beach Volleyball Falls To In-State Rival In A Pair Of Duels On Wednesday

MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University's beach volleyball team fell to in-state rival Morehead State in a pair of duels on Wednesday in Morehead.
 
The Colonels lost both contests 5-0.

In match one, the number four pairing of Kaylin Johnson and Alexis Falcone came up short in the opening set, 23-21. The duo could not answer back and fell in the final set 21-10.
 
In match two, after falling behind 1-0 the number five pairing of Josie Schmitendorf and Mikayla Logan battled back but fell in the final set 21-19.
 
The Colonels return to the sand this weekend when they welcome in the rest of the OVC for the Pre-OVC tournament held at the EKU Beach Volleyball Facility in a two-day event starting on Saturday morning and finishing Sunday night.
