Final Results

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky finished eighth at the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday at The Shoals on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
 
EKU carded a final round score of 309 and finished with a 54-hole total of 902 (+38).  The Colonels were four shots behind seventh place Austin Peay (898) and seven strokes in front of ninth place Murray State (909).
 
Tennessee-Martin (861) finished 3-under for the tournament and beat Belmont (863) by two shots.  Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (869) was third and Tennessee Tech (871) was fourth.  Jacksonville State (873) placed fifth and Morehead State (881) was sixth.  Eastern Illinois (930) and Tennessee State (942) rounded out the field in 10th and 11th.
 
Andreas Nielsen led the Colonels and tied for eighth overall.  He concluded the championship with a 1-over 73 and had a three-round total of 217 (+1).  Billy Basham wrapped up play with a 76 and tied for 22nd overall with a total of 222.
 
Willis Gaer (231) tied for 39th and Markus Lindgren (234) tied for 43rd.  Pablo Carrascosa Vivas (244) placed 48th.
 
The OVC Championship was contested on the Fighting Joe course.  For the final round, the course played to 7,260 yards with a par of 72.
