Final Results

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Elisa Orduna Shackleton fired a 2-under round on Tuesday as the women's golf team placed 16th at the two-day Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship hosted by Tennessee.
 
Shackleton rebounded from a second round 84 on Monday to shoot a 69 on Tuesday.  She finished tied for 70th with a 54-hole total of 228.
 
Brigham Young (854) captured the team title by three shots over Miami (857).  Host Tennessee (866) was sixth, Texas Tech (868) was seventh, Maryland (869) was eighth and Virginia Tech (871) was ninth.
 
EKU shot rounds of 306, 298 and 299 for a total of 903, 13 shots behind 15th place Mercer (890) and eight shots in front of 17th place South Dakota State (911).
 
Ragnhildur Kristinsdottir (222) led the Colonels and tied for 44th overall.  She shot rounds of 73, 75 and 74 to finish 9-over.
 
Rylea Marcum (230) tied for 77th.  Maddie Hensley (231) was 80th and Vilma Efraimsson (240) was 89th.
 
The two-day, 54-hole event was contested on the par 71, 5,930-yard course at Cherokee Country Club.
 
Eastern Kentucky will return to action Sept. 27-29 at the Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri at The Club at Hawthorne in Columbia.
