ATLANTA – Eastern Kentucky's Alice Recanati was named to the 2022-23 ASUN Women's Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team, announced by the conference office in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon.

Last season, Recanati started in all 31 of the teams' games, helping lead the Colonels to 15 wins and seven wins in EKU's inaugural ASUN campaign. Alice averaged 9.9 points, 4.4 assists, 3.0 rebounds per game, while playing 32 minutes per contest. The Bergamo, Italy product was 62nd in the country and second in the conference in assists (137) and ranked in the top-5 in steals per game (1.71).

Alice scored 20 or more points in three of EKU's contests, logging 20 points on 3-of-3 shooting from beyond the arch against Chattanooga. Followed that performance with another 21-point night with six steals and four assists at App State. In conference play, totaled a 20-point night at home versus Kennesaw State going 8-of-9 from the charity stripe with a career-high nine assists.

Recanati has logged at least one assist in every game she's competed in heading into the 2022-23 season. The 5-foot-9 redshirt-sophomore looks to place Eastern Kentucky in contention in the Colonels second season in the ASUN.

EKU was selected to finish in fifth place as voted on by head coaches from around the ASUN, eighth place by polled media members from around the conference.
