Colonels Return Home to Face Midway on Wednesday

Last Home Game Until December 20

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky women's basketball returns home from a week in Ireland to face-off with in-state Midway University on Wednesday, November 23 at 2 p.m. ET inside Baptist Health Arena.
 
Wednesday's game against Midway is set to be aired live on ESPN+ and streamed on 92.5 WEKY with Wes Chandler on the call. Single game tickets are available for purchase on the Colonels' website.

Antwainette Walker has led the way for EKU in the first five games of the season, scoring 25 or more points in three contests. At 22.0 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, Walker is the national leader in double-doubles at five consecutive.
 
Walker also sits top-25 nationally in field goals made, free throws made, points, points per game, rebounds, and rebounds per game.
 
After 30 points on 8-of-15 shooting from beyond the arch against App State, Danielle Rainey continues her hot-streak from the three-point line and sits 15th in the country in made threes.
 
Alice Recanati has totaled 25 assists in five games and led the team in four contests, she sits 35th in the nation in total assists and 51st in assists per game.

Wednesday's contest with Midway is the start of EKU's "Toys For Tots Drive," fans who bring a new toy to donate to the coliseum will receive a complementary ticket to the event.

Eastern Kentucky Notes
- With a win against Midway, head coach Greg Todd would move to 14-6 at home.
- Eastern Kentucky picked up a 21-point win over Rider in Ireland, the longest win away from Richmond in EKU Athletics history.
- The Colonels sit 28th in the country and first in the conference in made free throws, EKU also top-4 in the ASUN in rebound margin, rebounds per game, scoring offense, three-point percentage, and forced turnovers.
- Antwainette Walker leads the ASUN in seven statistical categories.
- EKU shot its highest percentage from the charity stripe against Rider on Saturday, going 19-of-20 (.826).
- The Colonels picked 10 steals from Rider on Saturday, tying the highest total on the year.
- EKU has grabbed 35 or more rebounds in all five games this season.

- Wednesday's game is the first meeting between EKU and Midway in regular season clashes.
 
Scouting the Eagles
- Head coach Chris Minner is in his third season at the helm of Midway, coming to Kentucky after a one-year stint as an assistant at North Texas.
- Midway has earned wins over Taylor and Brescia through six games.
- Senior Dezeree White leads the Eagles in scoring at 17.2 points per game shooting 50.6 percent from the floor.
- Semaj Adams and Keia McCullogh lead Midway with just over 8.0 rebounds per game.
- Wednesday's contest in Midway's only game against a Division I opponent this season.
