Final Results
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Eastern Kentucky won the First Coast Classic by 11 shots on Tuesday in Jacksonville, Florida. It was the fourth team win of the 2021-22 season for EKU.

The Colonels began Tuesday's final round one shot behind Western Kentucky. However, a final round 304 propelled EKU to first place with a 54-hole total of 897, 11 shots in front of Arkansas State (908). WKU (912) fell to third after a final round 320. South Alabama (922) was fourth.

Eastern Kentucky beat five teams ranked among the top-140 in the nation by Golfstat – South Alabama (118), Arkansas State (120), fellow ASUN Conference members Florida Gulf Coast (124) and Stetson (131), and Western Kentucky (139).

The 11 teams competed on the par 72, 6,002-yard course at Deerwood Country Club.

Ragnhildur Kristinsdottir led the Colonels and placed second in a field of 62 players. Kristinsdottir shot rounds of 72, 3-under 69 and 74 for a total of 215 (-1). She was seven shots behind the individual medalist, Olivia Schmidt (208) of Arkansas State.

Vilma Efraimsson (225) and
Rylea Marcum (228) posted top-10 finishes as well. Efraimsson shot rounds of 73, 75 and 77 to tie for fifth. Marcum carded rounds of 80, 72 and 76 and tied for eighth overall.

Elisa Orduna Shackleton (237) and
Carlee Shoemaker (237) tied for 27th.

The Colonels will be back in action at the UNF Collegiate on March 7-8 in Jacksonville, Florida.
