ATHENS, Ga. – Eastern Kentucky is in eighth place with one round remaining at the 2022 ASUN Conference Men's Golf Championship in Athens, Georgia.
 
The Colonels improved by three strokes over their first round score with a 295.  EKU's 36-hole total of 593 is seven shots behind seventh place North Alabama (586).  Eastern Kentucky has an eight shot advantage over ninth place Kennesaw State (601).
 
The three-day, 54-hole championship is being contested on the par 71, 7,258-yard University of Georgia Golf Course.  The final round will begin at 8 a.m. ET on Tuesday.  The Colonels will begin teeing off at 8 a.m. ET.
 
No. 39 North Florida (563) continues to lead by 10 shots over Lipscomb (573).  No. 36 Liberty (574) is third.
 
Three players shot a 2-over 73 on Monday for the Colonels.  Francesco Guarneri leads EKU with a two round total of 145 (+3) and is tied for 13th overall.  He posted three birdies on the final nine holes to come in at 2-over.
 
Willis Gaer made the turn at 4-over before shaving two strokes off with a pair of birdies and seven pars on the back nine.  He is tied for 26th at 148 (+6).
 
Freshman Wil Griffin carded two birdies on the back nine and was one over before a bogey on the final hole.  He is tied for 44th with a total of 154 (+12).
 
Reese Sexton (151) shot a second round 77 and is tied for 37th.  Lake Leroux (153) is 43rd after a second round 76.
 
Florida Gulf Coast (575) is fourth and Jacksonville (577), who shot the best round of the day at 276, is fifth.  Jacksonville State (582) is sixth. 
 
Bellarmine (611), Central Arkansas (616) and Stetson (619) round out the field of 12.
