EKU began its women's golf program in the fall of 1993.  Since that time, the Colonels have won four conference championships, played in three NCAA Regionals as a team and have sent two players to an NCAA Regional as individuals.

Beverly Brockman Games, who won three conference player of the year awards, was the conference medalist for three straight years and holds the program record for career wins, was inducted into the Eastern Kentucky University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.
