INSIDE THE SERIES
- Liberty leads the all-time series 3-2. The two teams met for the first time on Dec. 17, 1988. The teams played a home-and-home series during the 1988-89 season with Liberty winning both. The next season, EKU beat the Flames 79-78 in Richmond. The two faced off again on Nov. 18, 2011 with the Colonels earning a 73-65 win in Lynchburg.Â

THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky beat Central Arkansas, 77-75, on Thursday to move to 9-7 overall and 2-1 in the ASUN Conference. The Colonels have won four of their last five games.

Devontae Blanton leads the team in scoring, and is fourth in the ASUN, with an average of 16.2 points per game. He also pulls down 6.1 rebounds and hands out 2.75 assists per game.

-Â EKU leads the ASUN, and is 30th in the nation, in scoring at 80.81 points per game.

- Â Moreno is 11th in the nation with 3.31 three-pointers per game and 22nd with a 44.9 three-point field goal percentage.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Liberty is 12-4 overall and off to a 3-0 start to ASUN play. The Flames have won six straight and 10 of their last 11.  Â

- Liberty allows just 58.6 points per game, 12th-best in the nation. The Flames lead the NCAA in 3-pointers per game (12.3) and are sixth in 3-point percentage (40.7). Liberty turns the ball over only 11.1 times per game.

- Liberty beat Jacksonville State, 75-41, on Thursday. McGhee made 7-of-14 attempts from the field, including 6-of-10 from deep, finishing with 22 points and seven assists. Brody Peebles scored 16 off the bench.

- The Flames shot 50 percent from the field against Jacksonville State and went 13-for-33 from 3-point range (39 percent). JSU committed 18 turnovers despite just four steals by Liberty. LU had 21 assists on 28 made field goals. The Gamecocks were held to 34 percent shooting and went 2-for-12 (17 percent) from long range.

- McGhee, a 5-foot-9 senior guard, is sixth in the country with an average of 22 points per game. He leads the nation in 3-pointers (81) and 3-pointers per game (5.06). Peebles, a 6-foot-2 sophomore guard, has not started a game this season, but is second on the team with 12.1 points per game. Joseph Venzant, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, is Liberty's top rebounder (5.3 rpg).
