- The all-time series is tied 3-3. The two teams met for the first time on Dec. 17, 1988. The most recent match-up came on Jan. 8 with EKU winning 62-59 in Richmond.Â

Cooper Robb finished with 15 points, five rebounds and two assists. EKU held the Liberty to 4-for-23 from long range (17.4 percent). Darius McGhee, who entered the game sixth in the county in scoring at 22 points per game, was limited to seven points on 2-for-11 shooting from the field. Brody Peebles came off the bench to lead Liberty with 13 points.

- EKU (17-9, 10-3 ASUN) picked up its fourth straight win on Thursday at Queens. The Colonels remain one game behind first place Liberty and Kennesaw State in the ASUN standings with five contests left in the regular season.

- The Colonels are first in the conference, and 14th in the country, in rebounds (39.50/game). EKU out-rebounded Queens by seven on Thursday, including pulling down 14 offensive rebounds. In the first meeting between the Colonels and Liberty, the Flames held a 36-35 edge in rebounding and an 11-8 advantage in offensive boards.

Dardan Kapiti finished with a career-best 14 points against Queens. He scored 12 of his 14 in the second half, including eight straight at one point.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Liberty is 20-6 overall and 11-2 in ASUN play. The Flames are 14-1 at home this season. Both of Liberty's conference losses came on the road – at EKU and at Lipscomb. Liberty handed Bellarmine a 70-50 loss on Thursday.  Â

- Liberty allows just 58.5 points per game, fourth-best in the nation. The Flames are fourth in the NCAA in 3-pointers per game (10.9) and are 26th in 3-point percentage (37.6). Liberty turns the ball over only 10.5 times per game, which is 16th fewest in the country.

- McGhee made 7-of-17 attempts from the field, including 3-of-12 from deep, finishing with 21 points and seven assists against Bellarmine. Peebles scored 12 off the bench, half of which came at the free throw line.
