EKU (1-3) is coming off a 96-54 loss to Michigan State on Thursday, who for the second straight week are receiving votes in the AP Women's Top 25 poll. Senior guard
Alice Recanati led the Colonels with 17 points going 7-for-10 from the floor and at one point in the game had a perfect 6-for-6 stretch.
This season, Recanati leads the Colonels with 11.5 points and 3.3 assists per game. Her 13 assists this season have improved her program-leading total to 550 in five seasons at the Campus Beautiful. The Bergamo, Italy native is top 20 in program history in assists (1st), steals (9th), points (17th), made 3-PT field goals (17th), and made field goals (19th).

Jasmine McGinnis-Taylor is second in the Atlantic Sun Conference in rebounds (30) and sixth in rebounds per game (7.5). In two games against non-power-5 opponents, McGinnis-Taylor has brought down 10 rebounds per game with a season-high 11 against Southern Illinois.

Southeast Missouri State (0-3) is seeking its first win of the season and first win under first-year head coach Briley Palmer. Freshman guard Zoe Best leads SEMO averaging 17.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, she is 7-for-16 from beyond the arch this season.
History vs. SEMO
EKU and Southeast Missouri State meet for the 55th time on Sunday afternoon in Berea. The Colonels lead the all-time series 34-20, 18-10 in home games, and are 1-0 since leaving the Ohio Valley Conference in 2021 -- where the two teams would usually meet twice per season. Last year, EKU overcame an 18-point deficit on the road to defeat the RedHawks, 57-48, in the first meeting between the two programs in over four years.
