NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 5 seeded Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team begins its March Madness chase in Nashville on Saturday facing No. 4 Lipscomb inside Allen Arena.

Riding a historic regular season, EKU (21-10, 9-7) is primed for its third straight Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in as many years as a member institution in the league. EKU has advanced to the quarterfinals in two of three tournaments.
In the regular season, the Colonels recorded 20 wins for the first time since 2005 while going 8-1 through the first nine games of the season, the best start to a season since 1975.
Individually,
Antwainette Walker was named First Team All-ASUN for the second straight season after averaging 18.1 points per game, leading EKU and second in the conference.
Additionally,
Alice Recanati was named Third Team All-ASUN for the first time in her career after leading the ASUN Conference in assists (137) and assists per game (4.4).
Both Recanati and Walker joined the program's 1,000-point club, becoming the 25th and 26th members, respectively.
