RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team swept both of its matches at home for Senior Day, Saturday defeating Liberty and McKendree 5-0 each.
 
The two wins pushed the Colonels to a 15-8 overall record on the year, tying the program's record for most wins in a season from 2023.
 
EKU dominated across the two matches only dropping one set, with Paityn Walker and Sarah Mitchell holding opponents to just four points in a set, twice.
 
This feat was matched by Madalyn Richardson and Riley Cutler at the No.  3 spot against McKendree winning, 21-6, 21-9.
 
Shining in her final home matches was Bailey Rima who won both of her matches with partner Natalie Taggart, 21-15, 24-26, 15-13 against Liberty, and 21-12, 21-17 against McKendree.
 
The win over Liberty marked the fifth straight for the Colonels extending their perfect record against the Flames all-time.
 
UP NEXT
 
EKU will now prepare to head back on the road for the College of Charleston Beach Classic where they will face top competition from host C of C, Coastal Carolina, and UNC Wilmington beginning on April 12.
