Sitanonth & Marrs Finish in Top-25 at Johnie Imes Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by Missouri, on Tuesday afternoon.
 

The Colonels had two players, Dili Sitanonth and Mary Keene Marrs, finish in the top 25 individually at the shortened 36-hole tournament.

As a team, Eastern Kentucky placed ninth with a score of 33-over, just seven shots shy of a top-five finish.
 

Sitanonth finished 20th overall, carding rounds of 74 and 76 to end at six-over for the tournament.
 

Marrs secured 25th place, thanks to an impressive second round. She posted an even-par 72 with four birdies, finishing at seven-over for the event.
 

Claira Beth Ramsey concluded her tournament two shots behind Marrs, ending at nine-over and tied for 33rd after rounds of 75 and 78.
 

Freshmen Karra Tucker and Maddi-Jo Benton rounded out the Colonels' lineup. Tucker finished 44th at 11-over, while Benton placed 72nd at 25-over.
 

Eastern Kentucky will return to action at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, hosted by Arkansas State, starting on Oct. 14.
