LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's golf team will participate in the 3-day Golf Iconic Classic hosted by New Mexico State starting Monday.
The 19 teams will compete on the par-72, 6,120-yard New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces.
The participating teams include: Boise State, EKU, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Jacksonville State, Long Beach State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Sacramento State, San Diego State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UT Arlington and UTEP.
All three rounds will begin with a shotgun start at 10:15 a.m. ET. EKU's practice round on Sunday will start at 10 a.m. ET.
The lineup will feature senior
Lanie Campbell, sophomore
Imogen Jessen, sophomore
Karra Tucker, senior
Mary Keene Marrs and sophomore Maddie-Jo Benton.
The Colonels are coming off a top-10 finish at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational on Sept. 28-29 in Asheboro, North Carolina. Two players turned in top-20 individual performances.
Campbell led EKU and tied for 17th while Jessen finished tied for 20th.
Campbell leads the team with a 73.88 stroke average through eight rounds. Tucker, who took home individual medalist honors at the Redbird Invitational earlier this season, is second on the team with a 74.75 average. Jessen is third at 75.25.
