BOSTON, Mass. - Four Colonels made their way to Boston for one last tuneup before the Eastern Kentucky track & field team turns their attention to the conference championships, competing in the BU Terrier Last Chance Meet.
Representing EKU at the meet were
Taha Er Raouy,
Justine Kipkoech, and
Jan Badia-Celma in the men's mile and
Aniol Borras in the men's 800m.
Er Raouy and Kipkoech both added another round of sub-four minute miles to their resume, with both recording a 3:57 in the event. Er Raouy finished 10th-place with a time of 3:57.00 flat while Kipkoech was just a few steps behind with a 3:57.98.
Borras turned in a fifth-place finish in the 800m, clocking a time of 1:50.40, less than half a second off his current personal best in the distance.

The Colonels prepare to compete for conference glory as they make one final trip to the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, KY for the ASUN Indoor Conference Championship. The two-day meet is slated for Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28.
