RICHMOND, Ky. – The accolades continue to mount up for the Eastern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field teams during the indoor season, with Daroyce Flemons and Metrine Serem claiming the ASUN Conference's Field Performer and Freshman of the Week honors, respectively.
 
Flemons earns his second weekly conference honor of the season after breaking his own program record in the weight throw with a mark of 18.69m at the PNC Bank Classic in Louisville last Friday.
 
Serem claims Freshman of the Week honors on the women's side after finishing first in the women's mile with a time of 4:53.85.
 
The two selections see EKU move to six total weekly award winners this season.
 
The Colonels will next compete at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by Louisville on January 30-31.
