RICHMOND, Ky. – For the third time this season, the Eastern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field teams are headed to Louisville, with the Colonels set to compete in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville this Friday and Saturday.
The meet will be held at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
EKU returns to the Derby City after earning top finishes and breaking another school record last weekend at the PNC Bank Classic.
The performances saw
Daroyce Flemons and
Metrine Serem earn ASUN Field Performer and Freshman of the Week honors.
Flemons broke his own school record in the men's weight throw with a mark of 18.69 meters, while Serem took first in the women's mile in a time of 4:53.85.
Elsewhere, Matt See took first in the men's shot put,
Eliza Hoffman took the top spot in the women's weight throw, and
Hamish Murray took first in the men's mile.
