LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field teams continued their respective 2026 indoor season on Friday at the PNC Bank Classic in Louisville on Friday.
 
The meet saw Daroyce Flemons break his own school record in the men's weight throw while four other Colonels in Matthew See, Hamish Murray, Metrine Serem, and Eliza Hoffman take the top spot in their respective events.
 
Flemons was the top collegiate finisher in the weight throw with a new program record of 18.69 meters (61-4.00) smashing his previous record of 17.81m.
 
See took first in the seeded section of the men's shot put with a winning throw of 16.19m (53-1.50) his best mark of the young season.
 
On the women's side, freshman Eliza Hoffman took first in the women's weight throw with toss of 16.36m (53-8.50)
 
On the track, Murray took first in the men's mile with a time of 4:09.3 while Serem took first in the women's mile in a time of 4:53.85.
 
EKU will next compete next January 30-31 at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational.
