Colonels Look To Extend Perfect UAC Start In Two-Game Homestand

RICHMOND, Ky. - Coming off a 3-2 road win at North Alabama last Sunday, the Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team returns home to host Central Arkansas and Little Rock in a two-game homestand.
 
The Colonels open the week against Central Arkansas on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET before welcoming Little Rock on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Sunday's match will feature Youth Soccer & Sports Day, with inflatables, yard games, and postgame autographs. Both matches will stream live on ESPN+, with live stats also available.
 
EKU (7-4-1, 3-0 UAC) has opened conference play with three straight wins, collecting nine points and scoring eight goals. Five different Colonels have found the back of the net during the stretch.
 
The Colonels sit atop the UAC standings, leading the conference with 23 goals scored this season and ranking second in fewest goals allowed (14).
 
EKU scored three goals in the opening 36 minutes of Sunday's match against the Lions, marking the third time this season three different Colonels have found the back of the net in the same match.
 
Chiara Premoli scored her third goal of the season to open scoring in the fifth minute. Premoli, who is known for her passing, is tied for the second-most goals from a Colonel this season.
 
Avery May extended the Colonels' lead with her fifth goal of the season, tying for the UAC lead. The junior forward also leads the conference in shots (45) and shots on goal (21).
 
Robin Reilly netted the game-winning goal in the 36th minute, finishing off assists from Emma Wolf and her sister, Regan Reilly. The transfer from Latrobe now has three goals on the season and ranks third on the team with eight points.
 
Scouting Central Arkansas
Central Arkansas (4-5-3, 1-1-1 UAC) sits third in the UAC Red Division with four points. The Bears are coming off a 1-1 draw against Abilene Christian, highlighted by goalkeeper Anna Kathryn Harrell's career-high 13 saves. Her performance earned her UAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
 
Senior forward Caroline Billings leads the Bears with five goals in nine appearances this season. Central Arkansas has scored 19 goals this season, averaging 1.58 per match.
 
Central Arkansas holds a 4-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Colonels split two meetings with the Bears last season, earning a 1-0 home win behind Ana Manning's 57th-minute goal off an assist from Lilly Wolf.
 
Scouting Little Rock
Little Rock (2-5-3, 0-1-2 UAC) heads to Richmond seeking its first conference win of the season. The Trojans are coming off a 3-3 draw against Tarleton, scoring an 83rd-minute equalizer.
 
Maggie Turner leads Little Rock with three goals on 13 shots, accounting for three of the team's 10 goals this season.
 
In goal, Reese Potts has made 10 appearances, including eight starts, recording 59 saves and allowing 26 goals.
 
Sunday's match will mark the first matchup between the two programs.
 
The Colonels are looking for a strong week as they head on the road for two games next week.
