RICHMOND, Ky. – Sean Moore, who has served as an assistant golf pro at The University Club at Arlington and Greenbrier Golf & Country Club, was chosen as the assistant coach for the Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team, the department announced today.

Moore previously worked with the program as a volunteer assistant during the 2020-21 season.

Before serving at the University Club at Arlington and Greenbrier Golf & Country Club, Moore was a caddie for Kyle Reifers on the PGA Korn Ferry Tour from March 2019 to March 2020.
During the 2020-21 season, Moore helped the Colonels to a pair of tournament wins, four top-5 performances in six events and a second place finish at the conference championship.

Moore served as an assistant golf professional at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee, from 2016-2018 and at Pinehurst Resort from 2013-2015. From 2011 to 2013, he was the volunteer assistant coach at Carson-Newman University.

As a professional golfer, Moore played on various mini tours from 2007-2013. He as a member of the golf team at Wake Forest University from 2003-2007, where he earned a bachelor's of arts degree in religion. He was the Atlantic Coast Conference individual champion and chosen to the All-ACC team in 2004. He tied for third individually at the NCAA East Regional Tournament in 2005 and helped the team to a tie for third at the 2006 NCAA Championship.

In 2005, Moore was the North and South Amateur Champion.Â

The Colonels will be back in action on March 8-10 at the Chris Banister Golf Classic hosted by Jacksonville State.
