Colonels Move Up Two Spots, Finish Eighth At ASUN Championship

DOTHAN, Ala. –
Eastern Kentucky University's women's golf team moved up two spots and finished the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in eighth place on Sunday.
 
The 12-team event was contested on the par 72, 6,256-yard course at Dothan Country Club in Dothan, Alabama.
 
EKU overtook Bellarmine (919) and North Alabama (914) by shooting a final round 299, and finishing with a 54-hole total of 912.  The Colonels' final round was their second-best of the 3-day championship.
 
North Florida (844) captured the title by 27 strokes over Florida Gulf Coast (871) and Stetson (871).  Central Arkansas (883) was fourth and Lipscomb (888) placed fifth.  Austin Peay (897) finished sixth and West Georgia (911) was one shot better than EKU in seventh.
 
Following North Alabama and Bellarmine in ninth and 10th respectively, Jacksonville (940) was 11th and Queens (955) placed 12th.
 
Sophomore Karra Tucker led EKU in the final round with an even-par score of 72.  Starting the round on hole No. 10, Tucker birdied the first two, including the par-3 No. 11.  She made the turn at even-par after a pair of bogeys on No. 14 and No. 15.  Two more birdies on No. 1 and No. 2  were followed by two more bogeys.  Tucker shot par on each of the final five holes to finish even.
 
The Madisonville, Kentucky native tied for 26th overall with a 3-round total of 227.
 
Claira Ramsey Eden also tied for 26th after a final round 2-over 74 gave her a total of 227.  The Richmond, Kentucky native had an eagle on the par-4 No. 2 hole.  A birdie on her final hole of the round helped EKU hold on to eighth place.

Imogen Jessen (233) finished 41st and Lanie Campbell (234) placed one shot behind in 42nd. 
 
Mary Keene Marrs (157) played the first two rounds and tied for 59th overall.  Maddi-Jo Benton played the final round after sitting out the first two as the team's sub.  She shot a counting score of 78 and placed 61st.
