PERU, Ind. – Incoming freshman Josie Kelley finished second at the Indiana Women's Amateur Championship at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Indiana.
 
The Noblesville, Indiana native opened play on Tuesday with a 1-over round of 73 and was tied for 10th.  Kelley moved into a tie for third following a 1-under round of 71 on Wednesday.  She had a double bogey on the first hole but mixed in four birdies with two bogeys over the next eight holes to make the turn at even-par.  Eight pars and a four on the par-5 No. 15, over the final nine holes, left her 1-under for the round.
 
Through the first nine holes of the final round on Thursday, Kelley sat at even-par, mixing in one birdie and one bogey with seven pars.  She made her move by carding four straight birdies to start the back nine, including a two on the par-3 No. 11.  After a bogey on No. 14 she finished with four straight pars to turn in a 3-under 69.
 
Kelley's 54-hole total of 213 tied Julia Potter-Bobb and was just one shot behind winner Claire Swathwood (212).
 
A 3-time all-state selection at Noblesville High School, Kelley was the third ranked player in Indiana's class of 2026 and 155th globally in the class of 2026.  She earned all-county  and all-conference recognition four times, compiled a 72.8 scoring average as a senior, finished fourth at the state championship as a senior and won three tournaments her senior season.
 
In addition to Kelley, EKU Head Coach Mandy Moore's incoming recruiting class includes Kentucky natives Mollie Neeley from Richmond and Cailyn Rogers from Lexington.  Neeley helped Madison Central win two state championships.  Rogers spent her freshman season playing at the University of Iowa.
